i hear you! i ve got a beautiful 21fjp22 ready for something and i can never find it close enough to get. my uncle had an admiral roundie that he kept going well over 30 years. it still looked good when he passed on.i missed that chance to get a roundie. he also had an airline set that i think was really an rca chassis. both sets were a-1 as he was an electronics expert.i remember he always was trying to make them better. changing caps and resistors, adjustments, etc. those sets were so good to watch. loved going over to see him and watch something. he also had very early video tape and we had a blast.

Oh cool, A screen shot Milwaukee's ABC affiliate WISN-TV. Just a couple months ago, I ran the instant replay at a football game for which we contracted the use of their remote production truck.
That's a nice set but will require a bit of tweaking as WISN's logo is blue not green. ![]() Am I correct in assuming this is a VHF only set? |

Nice set. Its a later model roundie from '66 according to the model number. Its a UHF set, you can see the two 300 ohm ribbon leads attached to the antenna terminals on back of the set. Must be concentric UHF VHF tuners giving it the VHF only look. Cudahy is not too far of a drive for me. Its under 100 miles, just outside milwaukee.
Is there a tube chart missing on the HV cage? Looks like some kind of residual adhesive. However, I see a wire to the crt is supported where the chart would be, so perhaps it wasnt there in the first place? Some kind of card off to the left side of the HV cage. Cant be the tube chart as the flyback terminals would be in the way. Perhaps its a service tag? Even though im in the process of trying to give away some sets, Id like to save this one. Admiral and motorola sets are hard finds. The set even uses those little metal spring clips to hold the back on just like the moto's, which means there are no worn or missing screws etc. to deal with that hold the back on.

no comparison
Never seen an Admiral or Motorola that could hold a candel to Rca or Zenith, sure the picture was in color but both had a soft picture and very orangey reds.

All television sets sold 1963 and later have UHF tuners. (FCC ruling)
