I think that is a CTC-9 "Anniversary" model.

It's hard for me to tell the difference between the two. I don't see much of either often

That's most definitely a CTC 9 Anniversary model. It's potentially a great performer. See attached photo of my Anniversary Model set. Bob.

Hi Kevin;
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the crt is the original RCA tube (21CYP22). It is an RCA tube, that much is still printed on the socket. While working on the set I took a good look at the tube and couldn't find the number. I'm thinking maybe it was stamped on the neck and was removed by accident at some point. I saw no evidence that the tube had ever been replaced. It was a very lazy tube and took a long time to come around when I first began this project. I was concerned that I would need to locate a replacement, but once it woke up...there was just no stopping it. Bob |

Keep this in your mind! This seems to be very common with tired tubes of this age! Congratulations to your wondeful set. The design is one of the best ever made! - Eckhard |

Last I heard he was back in Texas, but he was never afraid to travel for something like this!

That set is not far from me, i was gonna take a chance at it, but it seems the seller has ended the listing early.
