Interesting how the whole sequential field color system came back thanks to high speed motors and controllers. Color wheels generating each desired color and moving mirrors to project it on the screen. Very similar to a CRT generating images of light and a color wheel coloring the light. The CBS system in an improved form.
The next generation (which is also now gone) was three colored light sources (LEDS) turning on and off in a locked sequence and moving mirrors turning on and off each point of light. Very similar to a tri gun crt.... The RCA system?
I wonder what is next?
