I don't see a channel selector knob. How do you change channels manually?

Choose one:

A. Lift up a little panel in front of channel indicator.

B. You don't.

Just curious.

That decimal needs to be moved to the left somewhat...

Phil - the bar under the channel indicator activates a motor which flips the channels up until it finds one with a signal. At least that's how my CTC-11 works.

Wow... that's a cool set... and it's a remote control set! But yes, seems that guy started his opening big way too high. Perhaps it uses a 30FBP22???

You don't. If the motor pooches out, you're stuck. Doug has one of these models displayed on his Youtube channel.

It's much purdier in person, and HEAVY. I love that set.......I have the goal of owning one someday. Another Ak/Vk member offered me one but I have to get to Cleveland to get it. Hmmmm...Maybe I'll contact him and see if he would work with me to get it shipped via U-Ship.

Which "him", the Ak/Vk member in Cleveland? If so, I might be tempted to make an offer on the ebay one.

If I do I'll have to convert my bedroom into a TV room and start sleeping in a tent in the backyard. The coyotes, raccoons, skunks, possums, and neighborhood cats might make it hard to sleep though.

Park it on channel 3 or 4 and set the converter box to that channel and never touch it again...

Hi,
I have the exact same one, it is a ctc 10 with an FBP in it. it did have the bearing of the channel selector broken but glued it back with super glue and working fine ever since although not changing the channel too often, only to give it some movement. Very heavy but a beautiful piece. Lately it started having some hor sync stability probs but still watchable. great set for a collector

Does the -10 use the dual diodes in the horiz circuit, like the CTC-11? On my -11 I was having trouble with a very touchy horiz hold, and eventually it wouldn't sync at all. New diodes (I think I had a NOS dual) fixed it right up.

I own a CTC10 Remote, early american maple and it is like the day it came off the line at RCA. I paid $50 for it. Has the original 21cyp and it tests like new.

I made this guy an offer of $100 and he turned it down. He is delusional if he thinks he is going to get big bucks for it.

I think I paid 50 dollars for mine from craigslist. I recapped it and it worked fine for many hours then, I heard a little spark in it and since that, it has that sync problem. Thanks for the advice, I will check the diodes

I made a fair offer, no where near what he wants but we'll see what happens. And yet another seller thinks they have pure gold....sigh.... Why can't I find something like this at an estate sale??

I paid 200 for mine (most I ever paid for any set) a couple years ago, but I don't feel like I overpaid. This set is unusual in that the remote actually physically turns not only the channel but also the volume, tint, and color controls.

Here's somebody selling the remote that goes with this set: http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-RCA-VICT...#ht_1728wt_972
