It's a Zenith Christmas!

Time to decorate and couldn't forget about the Zenith's.

That set is gorgeous, I was in awe when I saw it in person. I hope to find one like it for my collection someday. My favorite cabinet for the Zenith Porthole. Way cool display Jim.

Hmm, after reading how some people lose their sanity getting a Zenith porthole to work, I've gotten lukewarm about owning one.

Other companies made portholes, right? I mean a round screen with no mask. Raytheon, Stromberg-Carlson, the little Automatic tabletop . . . there must be others.

The Christmas decorations are a good idea. Get out your tinsel and digital cameras!

Phil

Same for me - plus no room. They seem to be popping up fairly often lately, but that was one of the nicest I've ever seen.

I agree Phil, I've seen a chassis up close and I wasn't too impressed with the quality. I mainly love that beautiful cabinet

Very nice floor porthole!

Last one I saw like that was about 25 years ago in the attic of a customer that wanted me to look at it. I did check it over, and it obviously needed recapping. My quote got a "no, thanks" from him, but the interesting thing was that there was a dearth of ouchlets up there, and the big ol' bear of a guy simply placed his hands on either side of that set, and lifted and carried it toward the sole power source up there as if the set were made of styrofoam.
