American Pickers Predicta

I dont know if any of you guys watch American Pickers on the History Channel, but on last night's episode the guys found a Philco Predicta TV during one of their scavages which they paid 100 dollars for.

what model was it? interesting to see what they say about it, and if they are knowlegable on vintage electronics.

I bet it gets plugged in, and the pickers seem to have no idea what they are talking about "leaking transistors". I only hope the new owner has enough sense to take it to someone to check out and restore.

I hate to tell you this, but that video was the wrong episode. The Predicta that they bought on the show last night came with a chassis tuner base. The one in the video was just a pedestal screen.

The one in the video does seem to have the base though they don't show it much.

It has the wrong knobs and the clear plastic cover behind the knobs is missing.

That's right, the Penthouse model has the gold trim all the way around.
