Well, those "Chinese" sets & stuff ARE pretty, but...My gran had a "Chinese" chester-drawers that was GORGEOUS in & of itself, but it "fought" w/everything else in the room it was in.. You'd BETTER really love it, 'cause that style of furniture just DOES NOT play well w/others...

They are wrong about the date. Theirs is the final version of the Chinese classic from ca. 1954-55.

This is the first "complete" chinese style ive seen. Ive seen a few over the years and every one had been gutted to make bars or had inner shelves added. Nice to see one that hasnt been ruined.
