Good god I'm an idiot...

or a glutton for punishment, or both.

Look what I went and did.

Do you ever have feelings of grandeur ? Do you feel a STRONG attachment to your Mother ? (grin) Nah, you're nothin' more than a Dedicated TV Nut... For some reason, Perdicters have never "Done" anything for me...Maybe because the only ones I've ever come in contact with were EXTREMELY Beat-To-Shit examples, I dunno...

I probably would have gone for it too even though I hate working on them. Especially in the nice condition these appear to be in.

Yah, even though I already have a working pedestal and hate working on Predictas, I would have been tempted at that price.

An advantage of getting two is that the second restoration will go much faster.

One of these days I'll finish mine up..even though it plays there's still some issues with it.

And now you have two that'll drive you nuts! Good score though.

If it had been two Holidays I probably would have passed but I really wanted the Pedestal set. These are right in my backyard too, I've bought quite a few sets from the seller in the past both on and off of eBay.

I figure I can use parts from my other Holiday to fix one or both of these and then sell the leftovers to recoup some of the money.

Don't feel bad about a couple little Predictas... Look what CraigsList did to me last month, LOL:

At least you didn't have to hire a 32-wheel semi to deliver the sets

If your an idiot then so am I! Your preaching to the quire, I love my Holiday and hope to find a barber pole someday myself for a reasonable price. You got a great deal on them.

Here's a video of my Holiday in action:

You got a great deal. Ive seen Predictas in far worse condition sell for $300 a piece. Of course removing those pc boards is gonna make you pull your hair out!

I beileve that a predicta is on my want list. And I have talked with someone who has many of them who may sell me one for a price that I can afford within the next year or so, and I'm looking foreward to the chance of owning and restoring perhaps the most iconic and most electronically troublesome vintage TV.
