Clarification: This post is only about the B&K CRT 350 and B&K CRT 400 Testers which share an almost identical circuit.

I have the owner's manual for the 400, which is basically the same unit except for the meter shape.

(The 420 went to a different circuit.)

None of the early B&K manuals include a schematic.

The one 350 that I've seen and some of the 400's were often found with burned resistors. Of course on a unit this old, both capacitors should be replaced and the one tube checked before using.

I agree with the others, don't use the rejuvenation button on the 350 or 400 unless you want to risk killing the CRT.

Other than that, these old units work very well on pre-mid-1950's CRTs and I really like how they enable you to quickly compare two tubes when you don't have a working set to use.

I have added a copy of the 400 instructions. I don't have the original tube list, but all that it told was the filament voltage. If the tube would fit the only socket the tester had, and it was 1950s or earlier, it could be tested.

The tube list in a below post is only for much newer B&K (higher number) CRT testers.

James.
