I used to work on those things. Had to be set up on a service jig to run it level and swing out the boards from underneath to get to the test points and adjustments. Without the jig and an assortment of modules and a rebuilt known good laser optical assembly sitting around just in case, it would be a real challange if not impossible for someone to work on one of those old beasts today. Up until this April my old shop still had all that stuff in stock, and a couple of the 8000 players back in the warehouse. All gone now!
