I collect them now.

It's a shame I didn't collect them back when they were more plentiful. I used to be in the repair business, and I have thrown away truck loads of old transistor radios (back in the late 80's and early 90's). I shudder to think about all the parts I threw out (or gave away) because at the time, they were pretty much worthless.

I just paid well for a mint condition 1969 Westinghouse solid state AM/FM clock radio on ebay the other day that 20 years ago would have went right into the trash can because it wasn't a tube type set.
