Hi.
We'll,that's good news! I hope the Facebook search ends up successfully. Would be the first time there really is something Facebook is good for. ;-) So you say the type b and type c follow-ups of the z-one were poorer than the first type? And the "auto contrast" was really coupled with the focal length? We'll that really sounds stupid (..the fact), especially if they made the gamma stronger in the wide shots where normally the contrast is stronger anyway,. sure it wasen't the other way round? Compensating the pictures' softness in telephoto by increasing the contrast there? We'll in every case it would be something that takes away control from the cameraman, so it isn't helpful anyway. Well, if Facebook really shows up with a link your former z-one joint user it would be nice to ask them for the service manual. Thanks! ..as you are the betacamSPman: I just received a camera (JVC KY-27) with a docked PVV-1 Recorder. to my surprise the pushing of the lens' return knob only gives me a still (!) playback picture but not the usual 3 to 5 seconds playback you can use for checking your last scene or for making sure that the backspace editing is working properly and lets you have a clean cut between the recorded takes. Could it be, that this is one of the features they dropped to make the PVV-1 a cheaper alternative to a"regular" BVV-5 or PVV-3 recorder? As the docking port is different to the BVV-5s (the long vertical instead of the small horizontal) I cannot check it by just changing the PVV-1 to a camera where the return- function is present now with a BVV-5 recorder. And as I did not find a operation manual yet, I cannot check the diagnoses- option to see whether there is an option for selecting the type of record review- reaction the recorder will provide. So can you help me with an information and/or the manual on the recorder? Thanx a lot! Stefan Last edited by dauberich; 01-19-2014 at 02:19 AM. |
