No, it's one of those fairly rare to find nice originals that likely went from the original owners hands directly to a collectors shelf. I always do the Howards treatment to all my sets, but this is the first one where I even hesitated doing that. It just has an expected very light aged patina that's perfect. The chassis and speaker is just as nice too. In the early '80's I used to find vintage sets like this all the time, but it's a rarity for something this old nowadays.
