speaker hole added ( and speaker), and speaker cloth.

once I get that face-plate put on for real, not just laid in place, will add trim at top and bottom of speaker cloth, but the face-plate must be centered on CRT first.
Looks and sounds very good.

Amazing what an enclosure can do for a speaker.

Seems like the picture should be a little wider, but you'll figure that out when you get the mask on there permanently.

I did manage to nab a REAL rf modulator, https://tinyurl.com/y8hqmz7u ( channel 7 ) , I just have to rig up a way to get power into it, +12 & +5, should work much better than the basic crap one I have now.

The picture shows ch6...
If it is that could be better. The audio for CH6 is at the bottom of the FM band and most FM radios can tune it (there are even analog TV stations opperating more as radio stations because of this). You could use it as both TV station and radio station if you want.

Cute cat BTW. Some of the most affectionate cats I've met were black cats.

I just used that one as "stock Picture" , before I had mine in hand, mine is chan 7, I WAS focused on the unit, but then kitty jumped in and stole the scene (and focus )
I ordered it on sat, and had it on Mon. even though eBay said it would be here Thurs.

I guess since the conversion to digital cable, these things have become “obsolete” and thus so easy to find so cheap everywhere.

latest test, ran it for about an hour.

Still have slight IF problems.

tuner is still dirty, have to go in and scrub contacts, spraying cleaner in and rotating it did not clean it enough.

this was with the BT modulator on channel 7.
still need to adjust Horz width a bit.

Cell cam SUCKS for taking video

For some reason, the horz width adjustment had very little affect, I doubt that the coil is bad, I may start with changing the two caps that they stuck in there to mod it for the 12 inch CRT.

I'm still not sure what these 2 caps do, but they are ONLY on the version with the 12 inch CRT, not the 10, so I assume it has to do with making the scan wider.
As mentioned, adjusting the width coil seemed to have no effect, not sure why, I doubt that it's open, but who knows.
I have 2 new caps ordered, mouser # 505-FKP1220/2000/10 , will take a close look at coil when I put them in.

edit...
a pic of the old caps from when I had the FBT out of the set.

The width coil typically has only minimal effect. It's meant for fine tuning the width. Maybe an 1/8" - 1/4" of an inch from one extreme to the other.
