I haven't checked 70cm in a while, My IC-706mkii doesn't do 70cm, I'd have to dig out that Baofeng, which is a bit of a turd. It actually does OK on 70cm/GMRS but it's pretty lousy on 2m. I'm working on a Realistic/Radio Shack HTX-202 for 2m because its a really solid old HT that performs well
