there really is no reason that it MUST HAVE safety glass, one can be careful and use it w/o it.

it's not like you will be throwing golf balls at it or anything!

for example, I have been using the 21fjp22 without one in the GE CTC-15/16 clone since the safety glass broke when I tried to remove the cataract, and that was well over a year ago.
