The BIDA 550-50 would privide a stronger output, IF it doesn't overload. I would be tempted to try this one first and hope that if it overloads it can be adjusted out with the attenuator, or even by adding an external attenuator if necessary.

What do you think of something like this? Would it serve the same purpose? It seems to streamline the splitter function with the amp function all in one.

No, that's an antenna amplifier intended to handle low level signals, not the high level you are trying to achieve. Also, it's working in the wrong direction, splitting signals instead of combining them.

Okay... Once I get the Blonder Tongue 750-30 amp. Where should I place it? Between passive combiner and splitter? Or, only between the antenna and one of the splitter's out? So we only amplify one out.

OK, I didn't realize your full set up.

I think I would recommend trying the following:

Modulators --> combiner --> distribution amp --> two way splitter -->one output to transmit antenna, the other to passive multi-output splitter for wired connections

or:

Modulators --> combiner --> two way splitter, one to amplified or passive multi-splitter for wired connections, the other to distribution amp and then to transmitting antenna

Also, I would get some in-line attenuators in case the path feeding the wired connections overloads. Do not attenuate the path to the distribution amp and antenna, where your goal is to get the largest possible signal.

Would some of these other blonder tongue models do the same job? Seems to be same product with different naming convention. Would this one work too? https://www.ebay.com/itm/35608349009...Bk9SR6q4qujSZA

The reason I'm looking at other models is because I'm trying to avoid "for parts, not working" listings. Currently, the one we're talking about, the Bida 750-30, happens to all be for parts.

So I got my first 750-30. Got the rackmount version since my minis are also in a rackmount. Putting after the combiner caused issues when I would need to add more gain for the antenna. So you're right, attenuators would definitely be needed for this set-up. However, putting it between antenna and splitter worked nicely since it didn't affect the wired connections. I used to use attenuators for my Tivo because the images were so pixelated. They are lost in the drawers somewhere. Once I find them, I will go back and try putting the amp after the combiner.
