Ran for over an hour last night, no smoke or fire, FBT gets a bit warm, but no dripping wax , so far.
Running OK with one output tube, the h-sync system on this seems to be VERY picky, wanting to lose lock when shut off and on, this seems to have been very common as it looks like the “ horizontal speed” slug had been turned very VERY often before I even go it, not sure how to get this more stable, though it SEEMS to be rather locked now, only time will tell. Not sure what else to hit with this silly set, all the paper bombs are replaced, resistors are in spec, only thing left are the mica caps in the area, but, they rarely go bad, right? I don't want to mess with them if i don't have to.
