Hilarious signs

The first two come from Sydney's ghey district, date from the late 70s,
1,A Funeral parlour advertising cremations burials, etc, and slighty below their sign a chicken shop, selling fresh chickens, their sign,Killed on premises, boiled in oil,by request,Anybody walking down the street would see,Burials ,cremations,Killed on premises, etc,by request.
2,A Guns'n'ammo store,next to a tobaconnist,Buy a gun,free ammo,smoke a fag.
3,A Sydney railway station,Do not climb this staunchon and walk over, use the bridge, not only will the 1500volts kill you,it will hurt the whole time you are dying,an illustration of the Frankenstien monster operating a knife switch, frying some poor soul in an electric chair. Some kid had written, that's it Frankenstien,Goldstien, blame the Jews.
4,A golf course,All male members must bring their balls with them, females, optional.
Any other funny examples in America?

When I moved from Chicago to Florida I was amused to find there were no 'Speed Bump' signs down there, but instead 'Speed Hump' signs....

They show up on the news now and then... Some make it to youtube, or get attached to emails and get sent around the internet 100's of times....

Most common are school crossing signs painted on the road.... "Skhool Crossing"

The last one locally was from Georgia, with the above spelling....

I think Georgia schools are rated 48 out of 50, and the US is somewhere around 138 out of a 155 global rated schools.... So you know that means the teachers surely didn't spot the misspelling, and it was probably there for a few months before some kids grandparents noticed it....

Local butcher had a sign on the wall
"you cant beat our meat"

Spelling errors getting to be the norm. Teachers say the spell check will
catch it so why bother ? Not so bad in the sticks, things more
down to earth. In yuppie towns schools turn out kids with 3
choices. Harvard, Yale or MacDonalds.

Pray for the USA

No it sucks more in the sticks..... Writing is an option, spelling never counts, and math you only do on a machine.... Our kid got graduated not knowing what a fraction is, no idea how to do division, multiplication is some fog operation they need a calculator for, what is "signing your name...?" "What's an address...?" is common question now, asked as if its a completely foreign object never known before....

No joke, I drove a school bus for a few years, and high school kids have no idea how to get home... Can't recite their address to help figure out where they need to go....

And of course telling time on the old analog clock, or any reference to "1/4 past" etc, referencing the use of fractions of an hour, or fractions of a glass, cup, or anything fractions.... Here on LI they seem to have quite the system set up for cheating to get into Harvard, or Yale, including but not limited to they always have someone other than their regular teachers administering SAT's.... Seems like a dream come true for substituting someone who can pass the test, for the rich kid that will never get in based on what they have not learned in school...... It's all a joke.... A really bad joke...

#1 son 1st grade immature, begged them to keep him back wouldnt.
3 yrs later I hear "why wasnt he kept back".
About 4th grade he cant divide. Showed me some crazy ass way
they were taught. Showed him the old way, started dividing BIG
numbers & getting it right. Teacher called me yelling never to do
that again. I told her if he gets it right & she flunks him I will go
to war & leave a trail of lawsuits in my wake.

#2 son magnetizes a monitor. Principal calls me yelling & screaming.
( a yuppy scum broad that lets the kids call he by her 1st name)
Told me I had to buy a new MAC monitor. I sent him in with a
degaussing coil next day so he could finish the science lesson.

Sent both to trade school. Most teachers came from the real world,
they did great & were useful when done. Results......

#1 son SAT qualified him for MIT but couldnt afford it. Now
has masters in meteorology & will go Phd IF Osama dont
take his vets benefits away. Did a 4 yr stretch in USAF, made Capt.

#2 more like me. Got an assembly job, within a year he is production
manager making more than I ever did. Started seeing chinamen
hanging around & got a new job within days. They offered him
50% raise but he passed. The writing was on the wall.............

enuf fer now
