Vintage Lamps

Well drat.

I picked up this set of hanging lamps today thinking I would Mad-Men up my Living Room a little, there were four sockets but only three shades, plenty for my needs though. I even stopped at Home Depot and got some fresh cord and chain for them.

Of course Murphy stepped in when bringing them in from the car, I set one on top of another and heard breaking glass.

It seems that in some spots these things are as thin as Christmas ornaments!
Now I know what happened to the fourth one I guess.

I can turn the hole to the wall I guess until I find a replacement shade, if ever.

I have a pair of those spaghetti-strung polystyrene hanging globe lamps, and I knocked a hole in one just as I brought them in the door when I brought them home. I'm amazed any of them have survived all these years, as fragile as they are.
