Judging by the overall photo I'd say the CTC-5 looks better than many of the modern things out there. Absolutely stunning and it looks real not computer enhanced or mpeg artificial.

As usual, I made a composite of two shots:
1) Room lights on so front of cabinet is lighted - this gets the cabinet and background
2) Room lights off to capture only the screen without reflections. The picture looks this good only in a dark room.

I also used Photoshop to remove some distractions, like power cords and pictures hanging on the upper right and left walls.

Did you resolve the brightness issue you had earlier?
