Talking Saving RCA Victor 9T270 KCS 29A

Did I tell ya I'm nuts?? well my latest project is slowly coming along. It's a 1949 RCA Victor 9T270 table model set. Uses a 16AP4. I traded for this as a basket case when It was painted Pepto Bismol Pink!! It was originally "Oak", according to RCA, and the blond finnish underneath the paint. Actually, it's mahoganny with an oak finnish. Does someone have one of these that they could take a good picture of front showing exact placement of all control decals?? I am really enjoying the nightmare of restoring this beuty. I just replaced the missing detent in tuner yesterday. A few more caps. check circuits, check wiring, connect speaker, and cable, and bring it up on a bench test. I call the first try the "May pop, may go big bang" test.

Darn!! How do you insert a picture out of your foder onto this? Can't figure it out!!!

Bill, does this model have a radio with the dial scale located bottom front between the controls?

I have a floor model with a 16AP4 that may have the same decal layout.

Thanks, but, that cabinet is for a GE.On the other, no, mine does not have a radio. Sounds like you've got an early KCS 40. Nice set, though.Wish I had it.
If you look at RCA "Red book" for 1949, it is model 9T270, a table model.KCS 29A. Thanks, though, guys.
