I installed the Channel Master tubes in sets in the early 1970's, and only had one to act up. Had a shorted gun. I dont remember seeing any of them that had dots missing on the screen like mine did. Of course, I have no idea what my CM tube went thru before I got it, either.

I usually bought the all-new tubes from RCA for old customers. I went to a friends house the other day, and he had aquired his parents CTC-38 25" set that I replaced the tube in in 1973. Still has decent grey-scale after all these years. RCA tube, too.
