Elvis and his CTC-5

I found this image of Elvis and a CTC-5 while cleaning the attic. I don't remember seeing a photo with Elvis and the TV before, Only the photo of the CTC-5 in the music room at Graceland. This is a Blonde set so maybe the photo was taken in the Music room back in the 50's?

That photo was from a series of photos taken at Elvis's
first home he bought in 1956, a ranch style house on Audubon
Drive. He moved to Graceland in 1957 and evidently took the TV with him.

I'm a HUGE Elvis fan. That is the only reason I would want a blonde Westcott. Cool pic, thanks for sharing!

Didn't he buy Gladys a CTC-5, too ? Seems like I've seen pics of her next to an early color set, & the caption "Elvis' Mom w/the Color TV he bought for her" or somesuch, as in '56 a color TV was still a Pretty Big Deal...

That blonde CTC5 is common knowledge and appeared in Parade Magazine on the front cover in the 60's and I saved it too!
