Zenith Porthole in MI - 2435R - 16"
http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-ZENITH-P...item4aa471d03b
{probably Model 2438RZ1, Chassis 24G26Z1} Looks like it is complete except for a few tubes. Has all the correct knobs, both chassis, adn back cover. The antenna system is in place (red twin line), and I see the wood brace for the metal back cover too. Not too rusty either. Its exactly like the one I restored -- my guess it uses the 16EP4 picture tube. Carl

That's close by, thanks for posting the link, the Zenith porthole is on the top of my list of sets I'm still looking for, and I like that cabinet style.

Good show. If it was in my neck of the woods, I would go for it. But, its still nice to know that someone on this forum may get it. If you get it, I'd like to follow your restoration progress. Mine is exactly like this one. I was watching some old Amos N Andy DVDs on it this afternoon.
Cabinet on this one looks to be in really good condition too. Carl

Well, I was planning on bidding, but I don't know what happened, the auction now shows up as "ended" with 0 bids, even though there were several days left. I really wanted that set, I'm disappointed now, oh well, maybe it'll get relisted.

FYI, when I really want something I try to put in the initial bid so it won't be retracted by the seller. The seller might have pulled it for lack of interest.
