a couple table tops

an emerson and a crosley (with built in am/fm). both have 12LP4 CRT's one tested fine right off the other was very weak, but would work at 8v (it had a brightner on it). the crosley has a MASSIVE power tranny, the emerson was prob 1/2 the size. The odd thing was I opened up the emerson fly cage and looked at the HOT tube and it was a 19somehting. That seems odd to me, is it possible they used a series string filament with a power tranny for the B+?

both sets were in a hard to get at pic so I could not even read the tube chart to see what was going on. The crosley had been worked on, I saw a lot of new looking parts on the bottom (thru a wire mesh like used on screen enclousures). I also saw at least 2 mini tubes UNDER the chassis, WTF is up with that? there was a relay under there as well.
