Circa '55 Admiral K2216 21" B&W TV/radio/phono combo

Someone brought this sad looking Admiral K2216 21" B&W TV/radio/phonograph combo by and wanted me to give him $20 for it. After looking at the cabinet, I declined. As we talked, he said it would be busted up for scrap and wanted to know what I'd give him. I offered $10 and he took it. As can be seen; the cabinet is a mess, the control door won't stay closed, the grille cloth needs to be replaced, and the channel knob is missing. The good part is that the chassis looks complete and the CRT, a Tung-Sol replacement, tested very strong after being on the tester for a little while. I'm still debating on rather to try and restore this or part it out. I'm sure it will be a nice set; but, I'm really not that good at refinishing cabinets. Maybe this should be one I practice on. At least the CRT is good and that alone is probably worth $10 if I end up parting this out. Anyone here have one of these or have any memories of working on them? Here's a brief youtube video I made of this set:
