Help me identify TV set of a Brazilian President

Hi, I discovered this picture of former President of Brazil João Goulart ( his administration was from 1961 to 1964 ). In this picture, which I believe is from the late 1950's, he is with his son and daughter in his apartment, and a TV set is clearly visible on the left corner of the picture. The TV looks like it had already lost the control door on the front. I believe this TV is an RCA Victor from the 1952/1954 period, the knob visible in the picture looks like, to me at least, the channel selector knob used on RCA sets from that period. I know the picture doesn't help much, but what do you guys think? Is this TV an RCA or not?

It's a strong possibility it's an RCA. Some of the RCA's from '54 and '55 didn't have a control door on them. Those were the BOTL 17" and 21" table models with metal cabinets.
The picture isn't quite good enough to really tell.
