My Signal Is Better Than Your Signal

Scored this (circa 1950) little doohickey for 18 bucks today at a very cool giant antiques establishment called "The Past" here in Southeastern CT... there is little doubt now that I will be viewing a much clearer broadcast of Lost In Space this Wednesday night than the rest of you, the viewing public will be seeing. Eat yer heart out!!!

"Used, but not abused". Nice find. I have family in Stonington, and they always had a problem with skip, with NY channels competing with Boston channels, and causing unwatchable pics. An amp like that, along with a very directional antenna probably helped folks in SE CT with that problem, at least I hope so. New caps should make that amp perform almost as new! All the best.

Oh, there is a GREAT little flea market every Sunday at the old Velvet Mill in Stonington. Back in November of last year, I was stuck for at least 20 minutes there magnetized to a restored 1946 Hallicrafters shortwave radio... my wife noticed, and guess what ended up under the Christmas tree???
