Sony Handicam

I just remembered a video camera my parents got for my birthday one year. I think it was in 2004 or 05. It's a Sony that uses Hi8 tapes, model CCD-TRV138. Were these good cameras? I never really recall using it much, I thought I would make videos with it but rarely did. The only time I can remember it being used was at my high school graduation. It's funny how fast technology has changed since then that now everyone takes videos with their cell phones and all these camcorders and digital cameras have gone out of fashion for the most part.

I seem to recall this was a mid range model for the time. It seemed the low end units were mini VHS and the high end was going to DVD I think.

Still I'm guessing this is a pretty good quality unit. It was made in Japan, not China.
