Slip plate. Search for it online. You can get a spray can for under $20.

There are other products too, but I haven't tried them myself.... except for the PB blaster version which had far too high of a resistance to be an acceptable substitute for aquadag.

Is it the graphite lubricant type spray? I see there's some on ebay.

Yup. Just knock off the old loose bits(leave the stuff that is still on there good), mask off where you don't want to coat with paper/plastic and tape, shoot a new coat and your good.

Aquadag E

I used the original stuff, Aquadag. A search for "Aquadag E" will yield several suppliers. It is available in various forms. I've used the brush on type. It seems to work very well. Slip Plate appears to give others good results. Since coating CRTs is very different than its intended purpose, I've never tried it.

Thanks guys. I'll do some research on the two types and go from there. I'm going to have to take a few pics and do another thread regarding this tube. Will get to that later in the week.
