Dumont time delay relay RA-103
Hi guys!
I picked up a Dumont Chatham RA-103 at the auction just outside Portland on Sunday. Does anyone have a time delay relay I could buy? Mine is open. I've bypassed the B+ for the time being but it would be really neat to have a working time delay. Its a 5k ohm coil. Sams and Riders lists the dumont part as 5-241. Thank you! Matt Davala |

I've used other Potter Brumfield relays with a 5000 ohm coil to replace them, either the whole relay, or just the coil. I used to find them at a local Surplus Store but don;t think they've had them for a while.

I think it was this one, I just took the coil out and fitted it into the original frame.

Thank you,
I just checked ebay and there was one potter brumfield relay at 5k ohms. 15 bucks. Might be interesting to take apart to use. Still hoping someone might have an original dumont relay hidden somewhere. - Matt Davala |

May be worth messaging EdKozk2 (Ed Kozak). I sold him a RA-103 parts chassis a few years ago. If he still has it and the relay isn't blown he'd probably sell it to you.

Well I bought a potter brumfield relay in hopes to take it apart and use the coil in my dumont's time delay relay. Should show up next week. I bought two just in case I mess up the first attempt.
Ok on a different topic.... To avoid clutter on this forum should I use this current post to ask other questions that arise from my restoration attempts or should I start a new post when I start the "restoration"? Thanks! Matt Davala |
