TVs in The Fabelmans

I saw The Fabelmans recently. In the opening scenes the father is with a lot of TVs. He's taking in TV repairs to supplement his income from a job designing computers. I think the date is 1952 so it's really early in the world of computing.

I know almost nothing of US TVs of that period. Were the sets shown correct for the period?
