Hints about a CRT Rebuilder in the US

Hi to all,

This sentence pricked-up my ears in this article on the Verge:

"Mr Lui works with a German engineer who helps refurbish tubes — by installing a new electron gun to fix yellowing, for example."

Full article here:

Thanks! to Richardgr (UK-VRR forum) for the lead.

Mr Chi-Tien Lui operates a shop in New York:
https://www.ctlny.com/

CTL Electronics, Inc.
45 Murray Street, New York, N.Y. 10007

Electronic Art Restoration
Client Services: Raphaele Shirley
Email: rs AT lapaixmanagement DOT com

Maybe somebody could get some info about the German Engineer who is actually still rebuilding CRTs.

Best Regards

I have worked with a client of his. He's the real deal, but their costs might make anyone with less deep pockets than a well-funded museum cringe. Of course, a large part of that cost is the shipping protocols to which musems must adhere, whether it be the Mona Lisa or a historically-significant CRT.

How could I get ahold of him? I'm willing to spend some money if it works out.
