21FJP22 rebuilders?

Is anyone out there still able to rebuild a 21FJP22 crt? Seems like the last one to have a rebuild was charlie and that was a couple years ago. Id like to get the orignal crt rebuilt in one of my zenith roundies.
After working on the '64 zenith I recently picked up, I was into "TV Repair mode" and wanted to finally fix my '65 zenith space command 400. had a shot CRT that will not come back to life with my various CRT equipment. I just put in a replacement 21FJP22 from the 3 good ones that I have. I had some time to kill this weekend and finally installed it. Its been waiting on a CRT for the past 2 years. Id just like to get this original one rebuilt before NOBODY can work on them anymore...
Doug

Hawkeye in Iowa can rebuild 21fjp22's for 350 dollars. He has to remove the safety glass then puts it back without any epoxy between the tube and the safety glass.
I have got two fbp's there at the moment. They are slightly cheaper to rebuild but still, I guess the nib fjp on ebay will be cheaper. The guy in Hawkeye is currently working on rebuilding a 15GP. He is modifying his oven settings to try to work on this tube.
Even if it works, the gun is still hard to find and will be extremely expensive.

Actually, a 15GP22 gun is impossible to find (to date). Fortunately, a successful process to rebuild 15GP22 guns has already been developed and is in place.

Good to rebuild as you said before companies go away. Anyone wanting a CRT rebuilt should do so - soon. Guy at Hawkeye said only a matter of time for him------ since market will soon be saturated with LCD displays. .

scotty at hawkeye is a good honest guy,he rebuilt a 21axp22 for me 2 years ago, mine was like the 3rd or 4th metal color tube he had done at that time, since none had been rebuilt in many many years.it turned out perfect.

Still waiting for Scotty to come up with a new cam for his oven... one whose thermal profile is more suitable for a 15G than modern tubes.
