RCA 210CK920 Value? - Videokarma.org TV - Video

I have an RCA model #210CK920, serial #B031875. It's followed me around for the last 15 years or so and I've decided to sell it. Quite possibly on ebay. I would appreciate any info regarding its value or desirability. Thanks. Pete

where are you located pete? Shipping costs can greatly effect how much you get for a set. Shipping can cost buyers in excess of 800 dollars depending on weight and size. Judging by the cosmetic condition the set could fetch in upwards of 300+ to the right buyer -- even more if its in working condition.

If you're in so-cal, I would be greatly interested in having a look. Looks like a CTC7 or 9. Really good looking set you have.

Don't think this is a CTC-7 or 9, this looks like a later set. Possibly a 10, I don't have my RCA data here with me. I might also be interested in this set, if it is near or in Southern California.

I am in the Phoenix area. It's been challenging to get a dollar amount for a fair market value on this type of set. I haven't seen one on ebay yet. I plugged it in about 5 years ago and it worked pretty good. I've been tentative trying that again.

Welcome aboard! It's a very good idea not to plug the set in unless it is checked out thoroughly. Something might have happened in those 5 years since you had it powered up last.

Certainly if you put it on Ebay, you will see what the market will bear on a set like this. I'm guessing it is from around 1960-61 or so. (Sorry, I don't have my RCA data with me since I'm at work now).

It's a little difficult to say what it is worth, just depends on who is interested. Other early color sets on Ebay have run the gamut from about $50 to several hundred. It appears to be in great shape. Would be a nice addition to an early color collection. Keep us posted.

According to the RCA Service Data, it's a CTC9-H, 'The Caulfield' and takes a 21CYP22. The set is circa mid 1959.

Some models that year took a remote control, Model CTP7A. The 920 and 920 U were finished in Dark Cherry. It has that nice, classic mask, and if you offer overseas shipping, you might see $200-$400 for a nice looking set.

OK, Looks like very different styling from the Anniversary model, that is knobs on side vs. front, etc. That's what made me think it was a later set.

A classy looking set. I would be proud to own it. (not gonna happen, too many miles, not enough $$$) The prices on these sets (and old TVs in general) are all over the place. There are still a fairly limited number of collectors out there so to make out alright on the sale you need to hope at least 2 guys "gotta have it". I would say this would be a pretty desirable set, because of its age. Speaking for myself, a round color set is great; one from the Kennedy era is even better. One from the Eisenhower era is awesome!

Peter, welcome to the madness. Here's my Caulfield. Got it about 14 years ago and it is still running on the original caps and some new tubes every now and then. The CRT is just starting to get tired after much use. Blue and green focus just fine, but red focus will not track with the others. I gave it a shot on the Beltron CRT tester a while back and that helped for now.

And if anyone has that same grille cloth they can spare, I would like to hear from you. The cat did a number on my cloth.

Dave, I noticed on your set that the two pieces or ornamental hardware located on either side on the bottom face of the TV are in a horizontal position. The same hardware on my set is in a vertical position. One of the pieces on my set is bent slightly. I guess that is why I looked so close at yours. Any idea of the proper positioning? Nice looking TV by the way. Mine is originally from Buffalo, NY.
