1920's art deco ANTENNAE table lamp
I figured this would be the best place to post this. I'm trying to find out a little more info on this lamp I found. The base height is approximately 6" to the socket assembly and the feet are 4 3/8" x 4 3/8" apart. Number 618 is on the outer edge of the inner base and has what looks like an A and S on the bottom of two of the feet. The rest is pretty self explanatory by the pictures.
Do you guys think I am close as to the date? I've never seen anything like this. The guy that I got it from told me that there should be a cap on the positive line (not earth ground) underneath the plate. I guess it was used to make the wiring in the house act as an antennae for whatever radio you connected to it. Pretty cool. ![]() ![]()
