After 1972, the Phonola brand was slapped on some Philips consumer products, at least until the late 90s.

I don't think they had anything to do with the US Phonograph maker.

by the way, this radio was made in May 1959

The puzzling thing to me is that the logo looks very similar if not identical to the US phonola. Also a 5Y3 rectifier is not very common in a European set, is it?
