Even better news... The red screen control is cranked to the max. Blue and green are at 3/4.
edit: btw, the CRT is a noname labeled 21FJP22 Rare Earth. Looks to be very clean, while the rest of the chassis is barely dusty. Not a smoker set. Very clean inside and out. I went ahead and powered it up with the usual checks, Hout pulled, so I replaced the tube, crossed my fingers and vioola.. Picture! Dim.. very dim...
