got another color roundie today g e

just got back from elkhart with this ge color roundie ,took some doing getting it out of this basement.

its got a great crt too.i didnt even clean balance the crt or nothing .

CTC-15 clone. Good score! looks like lots of wax drippage, hope the fly is good. Replacement/Rebuilt CRT.

im hoping to, the lady handed me a bag of extra tubes she said she found ,oh boy hope someone hasnt been trying to fix it .ill look it over tomorrow i have to rest my back after hauling that out of her basement ,narrow stair steps should be against the law. lol

if its like every other RCA and Clone, check those jumper wires that run along the top of the chroma board. I have had several that corrode and break right at the board. goes to the big power resistors in the chroma circuit. Also I would bet the .01 brown drop that is between the 6GU7 and the power resistor is weak. Not that it has to be replaced but I would replace it anyway.

yep me hoarding , i just cant help it ,this makes total 5, 3 zeniths, 1 magi, 1ge, now all good roundie color crt's to. they just keep poping up on craigslist around here this has got to be the last one for awhile,i cant move around down in my work area now,iv got one room just all b&w some roundie's and one predicta, thats been since spring time.my wife dont even know about the last two tv's i just tell her ,oh i had them already

That's a cool set, The GE roundies don't show up too often. I too have been guilty of the "oh, I already had that one for a while" line My wife rolled her eyes and shook her head.

That's an awesome set! I like that style cabinet. And as ZF1 pointed out, we don't see these in GE's often.

You've picked up quite a few sets in a short period of time! You'll be running low on real estate before long!
